Prolayment® CS Limited Time 5/1 Warranty

Diversified Industries, Inc., warrants its Prolayment line of underlayments free from defects in manufacturing, materials and workmanship in manufacture for a period of five years from the date of original (limited warranty period). In addition Diversified also warrants its Prolayment line of underlayments against material breakdown, deterioration, or disintegrating for a period of five years for the original resident or property owner. Manufacturer further warrants against tile fractures due to horizontal movement of the substrate up to one-eighth inch (1/8”), for one year from the date of installation for the original resident or property owner. This warranty is nontransferable. Horizontal movement is limited to 1/8”. The floor must be rigid and structurally sound and tested for water retention prior to installation. The deflection cannot exceed L/360 of the span under intended live and dead loads. All fractures are limited to the material bonded to Prolayment sheeting. Proper adhesives are required for warranty to be in effect. Notification of failure must be within 30 days. Diversified Industries, Inc., reserves the right to inspect installation.

Warranty shall not cover cracking or damage that occurs under the following conditions: 1) if the preparation, conditions, and installations of the product is not installed according to industry standards including TCA guidelines for ceramic, porcelain, and stone products, 2) Horizontal crack exceeds 1/8”, 3) installation is not conducted per manufacturers written instructions, 4) vertical cracking, settling, or displacement occurs, 5) defective tile, grout, or adhesive is used in the installation, 6) failure of floor patching or leveling materials occur, or the use of non-approved patching or leveling material are used in the installation. This warranty does not include use over expansive or control joints. Replacement is limited to that of the Prolayment sheeting and reasonable cost of damaged tile. Stone and Marble products will not be warranted due to its natural composition.

Warranty is VOID if tile is bridging or spanning across the width of the tile, or where hydrostatic water pressure exists. Satisfactory results depend not only on quality products, but also upon factors beyond our control. Therefore, this warranty applies only to the membrane itself and not to the manner of installation over which we have no control. There are no other warrantees expressed or implied except those that are herein stated. Diversified Foam Products, Inc. shall have no other liability with respect hereto. User shall determine the suitability of the products to their intended use and assume all risks and liability in connection there with.
